Ingredients
- 2 oz. chicken thighs or breasts
- 2 tbsp butter or ghee
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 8 cups water
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper (optional)
Instructions
- Place the chicken thighs or breasts in a large pot and add the water and chicken broth.
- Boil over high heat, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 45 minutes to 1 hour, until the chicken is cooked.
- Remove the chicken from the pot and set it aside to cool. Then shred the meat using two forks and discard the bones and skin.
